1. Introduction & Acceptance
These Rules govern all 86 Academy Leagues and Tournaments (“86 L&T”) and are designed to ensure fair play, competitive integrity, and a positive esports environment. By registering or participating, all Players, Teams, Owners, Managers, Coaches, and guardians (for Minors) agree to comply with these Rules, as well as applicable Epic Games and Rocket League (RLCS‑based) rules.
Minors: Players under 18 (or local age of majority) require parental/guardian consent. Guardians accept responsibility for the Minor’s compliance.
Rule Changes: 86 L&T may update these Rules at any time via Discord or official channels. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of updates.
Key Rule Reminder: Lobby hosts may NOT use pause or admin options unless explicitly instructed by an Administrator.
2. League Structure & Format
Region: EU only
Server: EU servers
2.2 Tier System (based on MMR)
Tempest: 1075–1314 MMR
Quake: 1315–1574 MMR
Tundra: 1575–1874 MMR
Inferno: 1875+ MMR
MMR Calculation: Player tiers are determined using the highest peak MMR in 2v2 and 3v3 from the last six seasons (Seasons 35–30), along with current 2v2 and 3v3 ranks.
Team Composition (Standard 3v3): No more than 2 players on a team may be below the Circuit MMR range of the tier.
2.2.1 Rank Sources
2.2.2 Past Rank Limits
Last 3 seasons (Seasons 35–33): A player’s rank peak must be within the Circuit MMR range they are registering for.
Seasons 35–30 (last 6 seasons total): Rank peaks outside of the last 3 seasons may exceed the Circuit MMR range by no more than one (1) rank.
These limits are used to evaluate player eligibility based on recent and past performance in ranked.
2.2.3 In-Season Rank Limits
Players are allowed a maximum of one (1) rank peak exceeding the Circuit MMR range during the season.
Example: A C3 player may remain eligible in C1–C2 circuits. A GC1 player may not.
2.2.4 Circuit-Specific Cap
Top 4 teams from each division qualify
1st–2nd place → Upper Bracket
3rd–4th place → Lower Bracket
Lower Round 1: Bo3
All other rounds: Bo5
Grand Final: Bo7
2.5 Prizes (Paid via PayPal)
Inferno: £90
Tundra: £65
Quake: £45
Tempest: £30
Only playoff champions receive prize money. Winners will be contacted by the League Owner via Discord.
3. Player & Team Eligibility
Players: 13+
Managers/Coaches: 18+
Epic account must be in good standing
One person = one account, one device, one screen
Minimum: 300 ranked games (1v1/2v2/3v3) across last 3 seasons (Seasons 35–33)
Minimum: 1000 total wins on the account
Starters must be Platinum rank or higher in at least one ranked mode
Players caught smurfing will be permanently banned
Minimum: 3 Starters
Maximum: 5 total players (3 Starters + up to 2 Reserves)
Optional: 1 Coach, 1 Manager (must also be on roster to play)
Standard 3v3 team: no more than 2 players below Circuit MMR
Roster Changes:
Up to 2 changes per league season
Rosters will be locked for playoffs, but teams may request 1 emergency roster change if necessary
Changes must be requested ≥24 hours before a match; if not, Admins may not approve in time
3.5 Names, Logos & Sponsorships
Names must follow Epic Code of Conduct
No impersonation, offensive content, or unauthorized sponsors
Names must remain consistent throughout the season
Teams must submit a .png logo; Admins may replace or reject logos
4. Competitive Integrity & Team Relationships
No collusion, match fixing, bribery, or gambling involvement
Owners, Managers, and Coaches may not control or influence multiple teams
Exceptions require written Admin approval (e.g., DEI teams)
Teams associated with betting or gambling platforms are prohibited
Mode: 3v3
Time: 5 minutes
Arena Pool:
No bots, no mutators
Default team colors
Organizers assign Blue/Orange teams
Rehosts allowed only with Admin approval and proof
No players join sides until all 6 players are present
Substitutions allowed only between games
5.3 Reporting & Observers
Winning team must report scores
League matches and playoffs require Ballchasing links
Unauthorized observers prohibited
Players may stream their POV
5.4 Punctuality & Forfeits
Must be submitted via ticket
Admin decisions are final
No public dispute discussions
Matches generally play through bugs or disconnects
Disconnecting players may rejoin within the same game or before the next game
One timeout per team per match (2 minutes, between games only)
Admins may restart games in exceptional circumstances
7. Communication & Scheduling
Official communication via Discord tickets and match channels
Scheduling window: Monday–Sunday, 23:59 CEST
No scheduling by Thursday 23:00 CEST → Admin intervention
Winning teams submit results by Sunday deadline
No toxicity, harassment, discrimination, or abuse
No cheating, exploiting, account sharing, macros, or unauthorized mods
No betting or wagering on matches
Respect all Players, Staff, and Community members
Violations may result in warnings, match forfeits, suspensions, or permanent bans.
English version prevails over translations
Confidential information may not be shared publicly
All participants must comply with applicable laws
